If you purchased your computer in the last 6 years you should not have any problem running LocuTour software. It should run fine on most Windows computers made in the last 10 years. If you have a netbook, you’ll need a minimum screen size of 640x480 and you may need an external CD drive to install the software.
Macintosh® Requirements: With MacOS Catalina Apple has changed to a modern 64-bit operating system and our titles will no longer run. Current versions of LocuTour software require Mac OS X v10.4 to v10.14.
Windows® Requirements: The current versions of our software require an Intel Pentium 4 processor, Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7-8, or Windows 10. You may have permissions issues when installing on Vista and Windows 7+. Our software runs fine in Windows 8 and 10 but the installer can’t put the game icon on the desktop.
RAM and Hard drive space are not really an issue for most users, but the programs do need around 512MB of available RAM. A full install will take between 100 MB and 700 MB of hard disk space—depending on the title.
As a general rule, modern Windows operating systems require Admin privileges to install or run software. If you are the only user of the computer you are probably the Admin and won’t have any issues when installing LocuTour software. Many computers in schools have higher levels of security set by the tech department and will require special privileges to install the program. You should not need special privileges to run the program.
Basically you may install the software on one computer at a time. Licensee’s who are Speech Pathologists may install a full copy of the Software on multiple computers provided the software is being used by only one person at any time. (e.g. An itinerant SLP may install the software on computers at each school they visit if the software will only be used when they are at the school.) Link
